Hey ya'll hey! Looks like the kid missed a week! My bad my bad! You know how the end of a semester goes...it gets real hectic and I've been busy busy busy trying to keep these grades poppin, get my business off the ground, and stay consistent with posting on my Youtube, IG, and here! I'm done the 14th and I think I'm going to take that time to go a little harder on posting! But annnyyywwhooo back to what this post is really about and that is REPPIN MY CITY or should I cities...*insert thinking emoji*
A little background on me, I am an Air Force brat. I was born in the Panama (Yes the country which I claim), then moved to North Dakota (which I don't claim no real ties), then lived the majority of my life in the Southern IL and Metro STL areas. I went to high school in Belleville, IL and with St. Louis, MO being only a 15 minute drive I was ripping and running those streets too. When I went to college repping where you were from was kind of like a big deal, and me living in little ol Belleville I would always find myself in convos like this,
New person: Where are you from?
Me: Belleville, IL
New Person: *blank stare* is that near Chicago?
Me: *Irritated stare because people think Chicago is the only city in Illinois* No it's near like East St. Louis, IL St. Louis, MO
New Person: How is East St. Louis in Illinois I thought St. Louis was in Missouri?
Me: Like West Memphis is Arkansas...
So having enough of those conversations and not trying to have a geography lesson every time I just decided to leave it at, "I'm from St. Louis." This was a way to quickly dismiss guys that I had no intrest in trying to create a conversation, but also helped introduce me to the other IL/STL reppers at my university! Since St. Louis is the closest major city to Belleville Blues, Cardinals, and former Rams gear was extremely easy to come by. Repping both sides of the Mississippi is what prompted me to make this post and to do something a little different than the typical cute outfit with heels post. Let's be honest....NOBODY is wearing heels and hella tight clothes all day everyday. I found myself continusly wanting heels and fitted dresses, etc. that I was neglecting dope ass tennis shoes and sports apparel. My style is eclectic and I just LOVE fashion period, so for this post I wanted to showcase the bomb tennis shoes I got and my more casual style. Hope you like it and as always links to the exact or similar items will be linked below!
Stay TRILL,
